Project Support

Interior designer, Disha Shah, was in contact with Arcedior. She introduced the project owner to Arcedior’s sourcing and procurement services from inspiration to installation. “We were given the opportunity of delivering this Villa during the most difficult times,” explains the designer, Disha Shah. This villa needed a wide range of stand out products to create furniture schemes that complimented the owner’s vision of integrating simplicity with modern design aesthetics that could translate their dream into a reality.

“ The collaboration with Arcedior, sourcing everything through one platform,  was so smooth even during the most difficult times. The team understood exactly what was needed. The client was based in Los Angeles, I was in Mumbai and the Arcedior Company in Ahmedabad but with the help of technology today we managed to complete the entire project  successfully.”

Time Urgency

There were twin goals that we were dealing with. One was delivering the design of the house within the stipulated time period. Our client needed the work done within an urgent period. They came to us expecting low procurement time, roughly a few weeks, and we made sure it was met duly. Second was to catch the attention of the people in the neighbourhood for the aesthetic appearance of the house.

Challenge: COVID-19

Getting products delivered and installed on time during the lockdown was a considerable challenge. Our team had to adapt quickly to the sudden ‘new normal’. But we made sure our client did not suffer. The project owners were able to rely on Arcedior’s project management skills. We managed to deliver on time and even get the installation done on the decided time stamp.

Right Sourcing

“In the normal times doing this project would have been completely different as we would personally visit the places and buy things for the project but because of the covid situation it was difficult to go anywhere and purchase everything“ says the designer.

With Arcedior’s  vast network of suppliers and vendors, sourcing the right products for the project became effective and easy. We developed a moodboard-like presentation for the procurement of the furniture pieces. With this scheme we could source from big suppliers as well as more niche independent  brands like Molteni, BnB Italia. This helped the designer to save their procurement time which helped them focus effectively on the creative work.

The standard furniture products were finely sourced and procured from Italy, while classy, modern, silk, hand-knotted customized rugs were from the market of India.

One Point of Contact

A dedicated project coordinator was provided to the designer. This coordinator acted as a point of contact and worked alongside the designer from the beginning to the end of the project. The coordinator’s work was to cover all requirements like product research, product suggestions for the final specifications, product quality check, and on-site installation.

“ I would like to say a big thank you to Vivek, Shruti and their entire team. You guys were really particular about the ordering process. Being in contact with one person for coordinating helped us complete the project successfully and seeing the smile on Client’s Face was amazing.”
