Victoria Hagan

The Reigning Queen of Restrained Elegance
This single statement depicts the power of imagination that the award-winning designer, Victoria Hagan has harnessed and displayed in her work for 25 years. The passion for designing found a home in Hagan when she was just 11. She would effortlessly make decor-related decisions for her own home and would have strong opinions whenever her parents chose furniture and décor elements. Little did she know that her natural talent and eye for design would take her so far into the journey as a designer.

“I look at homes as they are and imagine what they might be.”

Today, Victoria Hagan is known for her iconic American style and is celebrated for her intelligent integration of architecture and interior design. She has travelled the world and her work reflects the inspiration drawn from the magnificent architecture and design elements worldwide.

She is a remodelling expert and has undertaken many luxurious residential and noted commercial and hospitality projects across the country. With years of experience and expertise, she closely consults with her clients and guides the design process at every stage from architecture and construction to lighting and furnishing.

Victoria Hagan’s own home has to be one of the best works of her life and has been described as ‘the environmental equivalent of Katherine Hepburn’ by Architectural Digest. The space is minimalistic and just what a person would call an ideal home. It is characterized by its spaciousness and the ease of function. While the pedimented floor at the entrance lends it a royal appeal, the foyer is subtle with a mirror from Venice, a table from a Connecticut antique show, and 15 Hiroshi Sugimoto photographs of the sea. With two sofas facing each other, a cocktail table, a fireplace, and other simple furnishings, her minimalistic home is the celebration of family.

Here are a few of her other glorious projects.

A Greenwich Residential Project – Ms. Hagan decorated an addition for a Greenwich late 19th century house. With other thoughtful details, the cosy American style sofas and cushions inneutral palettes beautifully complement the generous space and glass-walled living room.

Few of her other notable works include the renovation of a multi-building oceanfront family compound in Florida, a Central Park penthouse perched on a top floor of the legendary Plaza Hotel, the renovation of Number One Observatory Circle, the official residence of the Vice President of the United States in Washington, D.C.

Victoria maintains her studio in New York City. It is a 26-people firm which provides a full range of interior design renovation and interior design services. The firm is known for its notable work in designing and decorating luxurious residences. Another achievement in her glorious career was the launch of VH Collections, Victoria’s furniture, fabric, and rug lines, in 2002. The collection allows designers to blend her collection with their personal style.
